Digweed family

The above chart shows just my grandmother Glenda and three generations of her ancestors. I do though have information about some of my others ancestors if you wish to get in touch with me. Also I am continuing my research and writing stories about my ancestors as I come across them.

One of my mother’s cousins has done a lot of research on the Digweed family. So far I have concentrated on my other ancestors. However, I will include stories of interest from time to time. So far in this section of my site you can use the above drop down menu to find out more about the following people:

Esther Beilby 1830-1875 – lived in Wheldrake before going to America and becoming a handcart pioneer. She is a first cousin four times removed.

Luke Richardson 1846-1891 – lived in “Who would have thought it” in Stillingfleet and is my two times great grandfather.

Richard Walter Vaisey 1831-1898 – lived in Shirburn, near Thame and was my third great aunt’s husband.

Mary Ann Richardson 1870-1875 – lived in Riccall and is a first cousin three times removed.

The image on this page is the house in the village of Escrick where my great grandparents lived. I owe my thanks to Jenny for letting me have it.

Note: I have BMD, census and references for all the information provided in each story. Do let me know if you would like to know more.
